How to Find the Bisector of a Trapezoid
To find the bisector in a trapezoid, you'll need to know the lateral side of the trapezoid and the angle with a larger base. The bisector is calculated according to a similar principle used to calculate the bisector of a parallelogram.

If we consider the bisector as a secant with parallel bases, then the equality of the internal crosswise lying angles proves that the triangle formed by this construction is isosceles.
The bisector drawn from the adjacent angle is simultaneously the height of the triangle, dividing it into two rectangular congruent triangles. The leg of each rectangular triangle is half the bisector, the hypotenuse is the side of the trapezoid, and the angle between the leg and hypotenuse is half the angle at the base of the trapezoid. Therefore, the bisector will be equal to twice the product of the side on the cosine of half the angle α.
