Thin Lens Formula
A thin lens is a lens when the thickness of the lens itself d (the distance between the outer points of the spheres) is small compared to the radii of curvature of the spherical surfaces d << R1 and R2. Otherwise, such lenses are called thick. Lenses are part of almost all optical devices.
